Mrs. Black – Kindergarten Teacher

Hello! My name is Mrs. Black and I am proud to be teaching Kindergarten at CAI Learning Academy. I decided to become a teacher when I was in third grade, and have followed that path to make my dream come true. My undergraduate and graduate studies were completed at Millersville and Kutztown Universities and I hold certificates in Elementary Education, Special Education and Reading. I bring many years of urban teaching experience and a genuine love of working with young children to this wonderful school. Practicing and teaching yoga is another passion of mine, and I incorporate breathing and movement techniques into my daily lessons. Helping your child gain confidence learning to read, write, compute, and work with others to become a good citizen is an honor and a privilege.

Mrs. Brodt – 1st Grade Teacher

My name is Mrs. Brodt, and I am excited to be teaching 1st grade at CAI Learning Academy this year. I received my teaching degree from Moravian College, and I have been teaching in Pennsylvania for the last thirteen years. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a bank auditor. I started teaching because I find it very rewarding helping students grow not only in academic knowledge but in the confidence that comes from success. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog, Bela. I enjoy exercising and all kinds of sports, and I am especially passionate about supporting my favorite team, the New York Yankees. Coming from a family of musicians, I enjoy all kinds of music, and I use music in my teaching. I am looking forward to a wonderful year. My goal is for every student to know that he or she is a valued part of our school community at CAI Learning Academy.

Mrs. Trimboli - 2nd Grade Teacher

Hello! My name is Mrs. Lauren Trimboli and I am one of the two 2nd grade teachers at CAI Learning Academy. I am so looking forward to this coming school year with your child and I cannot wait to get started! I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Muhlenberg College in 2005 and my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Cedar Crest College in 2011. This will be my second year at CAILA and is my 11th year working in the education field. In my past teaching experiences, I have worked in Pre-K Early Intervention up through Third Grade. When I am not in the classroom, I love spending time with my family, running, yoga and photography. I also enjoy putting my artistic side to use by creating new learning materials, educational games and projects for my students. I firmly believe that all children are capable of learning anything and it is the job of teachers to find the best approach to reach each individual child. My vision for our classroom is that we will work together as a team, and I hope to foster a sense of group encouragement and also personal pride in all that your child accomplishes and attempts. Everything we do in our room can be elevated by support and communication between home and school, and I look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education. I am excited for a great year in 2nd grade at CAILA!
