I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University. Upon graduation, I went on to complete a non-degree Speech-Language-Pathology program at La Salle University. This program developed my knowledge and refined my skills necessary for working with students in the public and private school system that enter the classroom with deficiencies in speech and language. After completing the Speech-Language-Pathology program, I continued my education by earning my Master’s Degree in Education and an Elementary K-6 Certification from Cedar Crest College.

Prior to assuming my role as Director of Education at CAI Learning Academy, I worked in various education settings where I honed my instructional and leadership skills. I began my career working as a nanny, assisting families in raising their children from birth through 13 years of age. More than a decade later, I moved into a role at Lear Educational Center as an Educational Specialist where I provided one-on-one tutoring services to children in pre-k through high school. A major focus during my time at Lear Educational was preparing four and five year olds for kindergarten through a kindergarten readiness program.

I eventually moved into a position as a Reading Intervention Teacher at several parochial schools in Allentown and Bethlehem where I provided remediation and enrichment services to students in grades pre-k through third grade.

In 2012, I transitioned into the position of Director of School Programs at Computer Aid, Inc., an IT and Project Management Firm in Allentown, PA. During this time, I worked with local schools and community-based organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Club, to provide students with educational software programs that are designed to increase reading and math abilities.

I have a passion for working with children specifically during their early childhood years where development is of the utmost importance. Though play and socialization are essential parts of a child’s development, I believe in also providing a strong instructional-based program that includes educational technology that continuously challenges and engages students. My goal for all students is to prepare them for future school success and in becoming self-confident and motivated learners.
